Why is the KJFK ATC stream silent or incomplete?
A silent or fragmented KJFK stream usually reflects receiver coverage, channel scanning or a playback problem rather than a lack of airport activity.

Is live JFK ATC audio synchronised with real traffic?

Receiver processing, internet buffering and player behaviour introduce delay. A flight simulator's live-traffic system has its own data delay, so an aircraft may appear to land before or after its radio clearance. Restarting a paused player can remove accumulated playback lag, but it cannot eliminate the original feed delay.
Can you hear every KJFK controller and transmission?

Clearance, Ground and Tower serve the airport itself, while arrivals and departures are handled by sectorised New York terminal controllers.
