- Airliners: use moderate yaw and lower translation sensitivity so the view remains steady while operating the flight-management computer, autopilot and overhead panel.

- Helicopters and VFR aircraft: use a quicker yaw response for looking into turns, but retain enough smoothing to keep the horizon from shaking.
