Learn how Train Sim World 5 Creators Club handles subscriptions, liveries, scenarios, DLC requirements, publishing and missing content.
Train Sim World 5 Creators Club is the in-game sharing service for community-made liveries and Scenario Planner scenarios. Sign in with a Dovetail Live account, subscribe to a creation, and the game adds it to the relevant vehicle or scenario list. You still need every route and train add-on that creation uses.
What can you download from Creators Club?
Creators Club shares content made with Train Sim World 5’s built-in creation tools rather than complete third-party add-ons.
- Liveries: Repainted or decorated versions of compatible locomotives and rolling stock, made with Livery Designer.
- Scenarios: Custom operating sessions assembled in Scenario Planner using existing routes, trains, starting points and instructions.
It cannot add a new route, 3D train model, cab, sound package or physics simulation. Those require official add-ons or, on supported PC installations, a different type of community modification. Our explanation of how Creators Club subscriptions differ from manually installed Train Sim World mods covers that distinction.
How do you subscribe to a Creators Club item?
- Sign in to Dovetail Live. Creators Club needs an online account even though subscribed content may subsequently be used during normal single-player play.
- Open Creators Club. Browse or search by creation type, locomotive, route or creator. Menu wording can vary slightly between game updates and platforms.
- Check the dependencies. Read the required-content list before subscribing. A subscription does not unlock the train or route used to make it.
- Select Subscribe. Train Sim World adds the item to your account and synchronises it with the game.
- Load the appropriate mode. Choose a livery when selecting its matching vehicle, or find a subscribed scenario in the relevant scenario library.
Creators Club creations are not purchased individually. The catch is ownership: an attractive scenario may rely on several separately installed route and locomotive add-ons.
Which add-ons does each creation require?
| Creation | What you need | Common compatibility problem |
|---|---|---|
| Livery | The exact locomotive or rolling-stock variant for which it was made | A similarly named train from another add-on can be treated as a separate vehicle |
| Scenario | The specified route and all required trains or rolling stock | The scenario remains unavailable because one listed dependency is missing or not installed |
Train Sim World does not normally convert a livery between vehicle variants or replace every missing scenario dependency automatically. Check the precise add-on rather than assuming that owning another version of the same locomotive is enough.
A subscribed livery becomes a selectable paint scheme for its compatible vehicle. It may also appear on AI traffic where custom-livery substitution is supported and enabled, but it does not alter performance, controls or safety systems.
Why is subscribed Creators Club content missing?
Missing content is usually caused by an account, dependency or synchronisation problem rather than a failed installation.
- Wrong account: Confirm that Train Sim World 5 is using the same Dovetail Live account that holds the subscription.
- Add-on not installed: Purchasing or owning DLC is not always the same as having its files installed and enabled on that device.
- Wrong vehicle variant: Look for the precise locomotive or coach named by the creator.
- Active search filters: Clear route, traction and content filters that may be hiding the item.
- Sync delay: Return to the main menu or restart the game. If necessary, unsubscribe and subscribe again.
- Platform restrictions: Console privacy, parental controls or user-generated-content permissions can block access.
- Removed creation: The author may withdraw an item, or it may become unavailable following moderation.
DLC ownership also stays with the platform where it was purchased. Owning a route on PC does not grant the console version, even when the same Dovetail Live account is used.
Can I publish my own Train Sim World 5 livery?
You can publish compatible liveries made in Livery Designer and eligible scenarios built with Scenario Planner.
- Create and save the item locally.
- Open its sharing or publishing option.
- Add the requested description and identifying details.
- Submit it to Creators Club.
Publishing is subject to community rules and moderation. Avoid offensive material and designs you do not have permission to distribute. For the design process itself, see our guide to building custom liveries with Livery Designer’s layers and editing tools.
Will older subscriptions appear in Train Sim World 5?
Subscriptions can reappear when Train Sim World 5 uses the same Dovetail Live account and the required compatible add-ons are installed. If an older creation is absent, first verify the account, the exact vehicle version and the installed DLC.
Do not confuse online subscriptions with unpublished local designs. Locally saved work, profile migration, platform entitlements and Creators Club subscriptions are separate parts of the system, so one can transfer or synchronise while another does not.
Is Creators Club multiplayer?
No. Creators Club distributes user-created content, but every subscribed scenario is still played as a single-player session. It does not let another driver join the same railway or operate a second train; our summary of Train Sim World’s multiplayer and cooperative limitations explains the difference.
