Jekyll Island’s two approaches serve just one end of runway 18/36, so instrument coverage does not provide a choice of runway alignment. The RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures offer two different forms of guidance to that end. With a single 3,715 ft runway, the layout is straightforward, while the available length limits use to aircraft whose take-off and landing requirements fit that distance. No airport diagram is published.
Nearby procedure coverage varies noticeably. Fernandina Beach Municipal and Brunswick Golden Isles have broader chart sets, while St Simons Island and Jesup-Wayne County are only slightly more extensively covered; Brantley County matches Jekyll Island’s small total. The Jacksonville Sectional adds wider visual-navigation context not supplied by the instrument procedures and minimums sheet.
