Concentrated instrument coverage

Fremont’s published instrument coverage reaches just one runway end, through a single RNAV (GPS) procedure. There is no published instrument approach to any of the other three ends, and no FAA airport diagram accompanies the set. The chart package is therefore narrow: the procedure itself and its associated minima material.

Runways and surrounding coverage

The 4,137 ft asphalt runway is almost twice the length of the 2,238 ft turf runway, so the two available alignments differ substantially in both published length and surface. All nearby fields listed with procedures have broader chart coverage: 16G has three charts, while S24, KFZI, KPCW and KTDZ each have four. The Detroit Sectional adds the wider VFR context absent from Fremont’s procedure and minima sheets.

Common questions about 14G

What charts are available for 14G?

2 current FAA charts for Fremont, including 1 instrument approach. All are free to download as PDFs from this page, from the 6 August 2026 cycle.

What are the radio frequencies for 14G?

CTAF 122.8. Full civil VHF list, with sector notes, is in the frequencies table on this page — from the FAA NASR subscription.

How long is the runway at 14G?

Fremont has 2 runways. The longest is 09/27 at 4,137 ft by 60 ft, asphalt. Full runway dimensions, lighting and approach aids are listed on this page.

Does 14G have an ILS approach?

No ILS is published. In total 14G has 1 published instrument approach, of which 1 are RNAV (GPS).

Which runway do instrument approaches serve at 14G?

Every published approach serves one runway end. There is no instrument procedure to the reciprocal direction, so an arrival in instrument conditions commits to that single approach direction regardless of the wind.

Is 14G a towered airport?

No — Fremont has no control tower. Traffic co-ordinates on a common frequency rather than with a controller, which is listed in the frequencies table on this page.

Are these 14G charts current?

They are from the FAA cycle effective 6 August 2026, which is superseded on 3 September 2026. We publish each new cycle on its effective date. They are for flight simulation and reference only — not for real-world navigation.
