Procedure coverage

Dowagiac Municipal’s two RNAV (GPS) approaches serve two of its four runway ends, so instrument coverage is split between opposing directions rather than extending to both runway alignments. The contrast between the 4,700 ft asphalt runway and the 2,176 ft turf runway is substantial: the longer paved strip provides far more usable length, while the shorter turf runway offers a separate alignment. No airport diagram is published.

Nearby chart coverage

Jerry Tyler Memorial and Andrews University Airpark have similarly compact chart sets. Coverage becomes progressively broader at Southwest Michigan Regional, Elkhart Municipal and South Bend International, with South Bend carrying four times as many published charts as Dowagiac. The Chicago and Detroit sectionals add the wider visual context absent from the airport-specific procedures.
