Mount Carmel Municipal has two runway alignments but RNAV (GPS) approaches to only three of the four runway ends. This provides instrument procedures for most, rather than all, possible arrival directions. The published set contains no airport diagram, so the procedure coverage is concentrated on approaches and minimums rather than ground-layout information.
Lawrenceville-Vincennes International has the broadest nearby chart set, while Olney-Noble and Crawford County are also somewhat more extensively covered than Mount Carmel. Daviess County has the same total chart count, and Sullivan County has a thinner set. The St Louis Sectional adds the wider visual-navigation context around Mount Carmel that the airport’s instrument procedures do not provide.
