Baltimore/Washington’s instrument coverage reaches all six runway ends, combining ILS, localiser and RNAV (GPS) procedures across the complete three-runway configuration. One ILS also carries CAT II/III minima, adding a specialised level of precision coverage. The runway layout is distinctly mixed in length: two strips exceed 9,500 ft, while 15L/33R is 5,000 ft, making the shorter parallel a materially different proposition from the other two.
