Instrument procedure coverage

Cedar City Regional’s four approach plates combine ILS and localiser procedures with two RNAV (GPS) approaches and VOR coverage, so the set is not dependent on a single navigation method. These procedures serve only two of the airport’s four runway ends, concentrating instrument coverage on half of the available directions. The 8,653 ft runway is almost twice the length of the other runway, making required runway distance a material factor in which alignment an aircraft can use.

Nearby and VFR coverage

Among nearby fields, St George Regional is the only one with broader published procedure coverage. Milford and Colorado City occupy the middle ground, while Panguitch is thinner and Beaver has the smallest chart set. The Las Vegas Sectional adds wider visual planning context around Cedar City beyond the airport diagram and procedure plates.

Common questions about KCDC

What charts are available for KCDC?

7 current FAA charts for Cedar City Rgnl, including 4 instrument approachs, 1 airport diagram. All are free to download as PDFs from this page, from the 6 August 2026 cycle.

What are the radio frequencies for KCDC?

CTAF 123.0. Full civil VHF list, with sector notes, is in the frequencies table on this page — from the FAA NASR subscription.

How long is the runway at KCDC?

Cedar City Rgnl has 2 runways. The longest is 02/20 at 8,653 ft by 150 ft, asphalt. Full runway dimensions, lighting and approach aids are listed on this page.

Does KCDC have an ILS approach?

Yes — 1 ILS procedure is published. In total KCDC has 4 published instrument approaches, of which 2 are RNAV (GPS).

Where can I download the KCDC airport diagram?

The official FAA airport diagram for Cedar City Rgnl is free to download at the top of this page. It shows runways, taxiways, ramp layout and hold-short positions, and is reissued every 28 days.

How high is KCDC?

The field elevation is 5,622 ft. At that height the air is thin enough to matter: take-off and landing distances are longer than the same aircraft would need at sea level, and the effect worsens as temperature rises. The approach charts carry the altitudes that apply.

Is KCDC a towered airport?

No — Cedar City Rgnl has no control tower. Traffic co-ordinates on a common frequency rather than with a controller, which is listed in the frequencies table on this page.

Are these KCDC charts current?

They are from the FAA cycle effective 6 August 2026, which is superseded on 3 September 2026. We publish each new cycle on its effective date. They are for flight simulation and reference only — not for real-world navigation.
