Daniel Field’s three approaches serve only two of its four runway ends, leaving instrument arrival coverage concentrated on half of the available directions. Two RNAV (GPS) procedures provide the satellite-based options, supplemented by one VOR approach. With five departure procedures, the chart set places greater emphasis on published departures than arrivals.
The two runways are close in length: switching from the 3,733 ft runway to the 4,002 ft runway offers only a modest increase rather than a substantially longer option. Nearby, Augusta Regional has twice Daniel Field’s chart coverage, while Aiken Regional and Thomson/McDuffie County have broadly comparable sets. Burke County and Saluda County are much more thinly covered. The Atlanta and Charlotte sectionals add broader visual-reference and airspace context around Augusta.
