A narrow instrument set

Sky Harbor combines a 2,602 ft asphalt runway with two water runways, including a 10,000 ft alignment. The asphalt length is therefore the relevant runway constraint for land aircraft; the longer dimensions apply only to water operations. Its sole published approach is RNAV (GPS) and serves one runway end, leaving the other five without a published instrument approach. No airport diagram is published.

Coverage around Duluth

Nearby chart coverage varies considerably. Duluth International has the broadest set at 17 charts, while Richard I Bong has six. Cloquet/Carlton County and Richard B Helgeson each have four, and Solon Springs Municipal has only two. The Green Bay Sectional supplies broader VFR context beyond Sky Harbor’s limited instrument procedure coverage.

Common questions about KDYT

What charts are available for KDYT?

3 current FAA charts for Sky Harbor, including 1 instrument approach. All are free to download as PDFs from this page, from the 6 August 2026 cycle.

What are the radio frequencies for KDYT?

CTAF 122.7; Clearance delivery 124.8. Full civil VHF list, with sector notes, is in the frequencies table on this page — from the FAA NASR subscription.

How long is the runway at KDYT?

Sky Harbor has 3 runways. The longest is 13W/31W at 10,000 ft by 2,000 ft, water. Full runway dimensions, lighting and approach aids are listed on this page.

Does KDYT have an ILS approach?

No ILS is published. In total KDYT has 1 published instrument approach, of which 1 are RNAV (GPS).

Which runway do instrument approaches serve at KDYT?

Every published approach serves one runway end. There is no instrument procedure to the reciprocal direction, so an arrival in instrument conditions commits to that single approach direction regardless of the wind.

Is KDYT a towered airport?

No — Sky Harbor has no control tower. Traffic co-ordinates on a common frequency rather than with a controller, which is listed in the frequencies table on this page.

Are these KDYT charts current?

They are from the FAA cycle effective 6 August 2026, which is superseded on 3 September 2026. We publish each new cycle on its effective date. They are for flight simulation and reference only — not for real-world navigation.
