Richard I Bong has balanced instrument coverage: four RNAV (GPS) approaches serve all four ends of runways 04/22 and 14/32. This gives each of the field’s two alignments a published GPS procedure in either direction, although no airport diagram is published. At 5,100 ft, runway 04/22 provides 1,099 ft more available length than runway 14/32.
Duluth International has substantially broader procedure coverage, with 17 charts compared with six at Richard I Bong. Cloquet/Carlton County and Richard B Helgeson each have four, while Sky Harbor and Solon Springs Municipal have thinner sets. The Green Bay Sectional adds the wider visual navigation context not supplied by the airport’s instrument procedures.
