Approaches across both runway alignments

All four ends of Elizabeth City’s runways 01/19 and 10/28 have an instrument approach. The nine plates cover ILS, localiser, RNAV (GPS), VOR and NDB procedures, so the set does not depend on a single navigation method. Runway 10/28 provides 2,701 ft more length than 01/19, making the two alignments materially different in available runway. Four separately designated helipads complement the fixed-wing runways.

Nearby and VFR coverage

Chesapeake Regional has the broadest chart coverage among the nearby fields, though still fewer procedures than Elizabeth City. First Flight has the thinnest set, with Currituck County Regional, Northeastern Regional and Dare County Regional falling between them. The Charlotte and Washington sectionals add wider VFR context beyond the airport-specific terminal procedures.
