Procedure coverage

First Flight’s compact instrument set is built around one RNAV (GPS) approach to each end of runway 03/21. Both runway directions therefore have a published instrument approach, but there is no alternative approach type. With a single 3,000 ft runway, the chart set provides a choice of approach direction rather than a choice of runway.

Nearby and VFR context

Dare County Regional, Currituck County Regional and Northeastern Regional have comparably compact procedure collections, while Elizabeth City CG Air Station/Regional has markedly broader chart coverage. Hyde County’s set is thinner still. The Charlotte and Washington sectionals add wider visual-navigation context not provided by the approach and minimums sheets.
