Mondell Field’s three instrument approaches cover both ends of its sole 5,310 ft runway. Two RNAV (GPS) procedures make satellite navigation the dominant approach type, while the VOR procedure means the set is not exclusively GPS-based. Coverage is therefore available from both runway directions, but every procedure centres on the same alignment because there is no second runway.
Nearby procedure coverage is mostly comparable: KSPF, W43, KHSR and 49B each have four to six charts, close to KECS’s five. KRCA stands apart with twelve, giving it a substantially broader chart set. The Cheyenne Sectional adds wider visual-navigation context around Newcastle beyond the airport-specific instrument procedures.
