Selective instrument coverage

Monroe Municipal’s three approaches serve only two of its four runway ends, so the instrument coverage is concentrated rather than available on every alignment. The two RNAV procedures and single VOR procedure provide both GPS-based and conventional options. Runway 12/30 supplies 2,000 ft more length than 02/20, while the shorter runway adds a different alignment.

Coverage around Monroe

Albertus has chart coverage equal in size to Monroe’s, while Middleton Municipal/Morey Field and Iowa County are only slightly broader. Southern Wisconsin Regional has twice as many published charts, whereas Beloit’s set is notably thinner. The Chicago Sectional adds the wider visual-navigation context around Monroe that the airport-specific instrument procedures do not show.
