ESLER RGNL has two crossing runways of broadly similar length, giving two available alignments, but published approaches serve only two of the four runway ends. The procedure set combines ILS and localiser capability with RNAV (GPS) coverage, so instrument access is concentrated rather than provided for every runway direction. Both runways are between 5,600 and 5,998 ft long, with neither acting as a markedly longer primary strip.
Alexandria Intl has the broadest nearby procedure set, with appreciably more charts than ESLER RGNL. Concordia Parish is slightly thinner, while Marksville Muni, Bunkie Muni and David G Joyce each have more limited coverage. The Houston Sectional adds the surrounding visual-navigation context that the instrument procedures do not provide.
