Go PROHouston anchors a sheet spanning south-east Texas, the upper Texas Gulf Coast and western Louisiana, with coverage reaching inland towards central and north-east Texas. The landscape shifts from coastal plains, bays and wetlands along the Gulf to prairie, woodland and the Piney Woods farther north. Routes therefore cross a marked contrast between intricate shorelines, water-rich lowlands and broader inland terrain.
East–west routes continue onto San Antonio to the west or New Orleans to the east. Dallas–Ft Worth adjoins the sheet to the north-west, Memphis to the north-east, and Brownsville to the south-west. Together, these neighbouring sectionals provide continuity for Gulf Coast and inland routes extending beyond the Houston sheet.
FAA Terminal Area Chart coverage provides a larger-scale view of the Houston terminal region, while the Helicopter Route Chart is tailored to metropolitan helicopter operations. Both complement the sectional’s broader regional coverage rather than duplicating its purpose.
