Four published approaches converge on just one end of Middle Peninsula Regional’s single 5,000 ft runway, leaving the opposite end without a published approach. The two RNAV (GPS) procedures are complemented by VOR and localiser options, giving the served end both satellite-based and ground-based coverage. This makes the procedure set varied but distinctly directional. With only runway 10/28 available, there is no alternative runway alignment.
Waltrip Williamsburg Executive and New Kent County each have five published charts, making their overall coverage closest in scale to FYJ’s six. Camp Peary Landing Strip and Tappahannock/Essex County have four apiece, while Hummel Field’s three-chart set is the thinnest nearby. The Washington Sectional adds the wider visual-navigation context not provided by the airport’s instrument procedures.

No — Middle Peninsula Rgnl has no control tower. Traffic co-ordinates on a common frequency rather than with a controller, which is listed in the frequencies table on this page.
