Approaches to both ends

Guthrie/Edmond Regional’s instrument coverage is tightly focused: two RNAV (GPS) approaches serve the two ends of its sole runway, 16/34. Published approach coverage therefore exists in either runway direction, but there is no alternative alignment. At 5,001 ft, the runway also provides no longer on-field option for an operation requiring more distance.

Coverage around Guthrie

Sundance and Stillwater Regional have similarly compact procedure sets, while Wiley Post, Tinker AFB and particularly OKC Will Rogers International have much broader chart coverage. The Dallas-Ft Worth, Kansas City and Wichita sectional charts add wider VFR context beyond the airport diagram and terminal procedures.
