Four of Wiley Post’s six runway ends have a published approach, so instrument coverage spans more than one alignment without extending to every end. ILS and localiser procedures sit alongside RNAV (GPS) and VOR options, while the chart set is weighted towards departures, with 11 departure procedures against seven approach plates. Runway 17L/35R provides by far the greatest available length; 13/31 is more than 2,600 ft shorter, making runway choice significant where required distance is concerned.
Will Rogers International has the broadest nearby procedure set, while Tinker AFB is closer to Wiley Post’s level of coverage. Sundance, Clarence E Page Municipal and El Reno Regional have much thinner sets. Three sectional charts add broader VFR context beyond the airport diagram and terminal procedures.
