Tinker AFB has instrument approaches to all four runway ends, with ILS and localiser procedures forming most of the set and RNAV (GPS) providing additional coverage. This gives both runway alignments published instrument options rather than concentrating procedures on a single preferred end. At 10,000 ft and 11,100 ft, the two paved runways also provide substantial physical distance on either alignment.
Will Rogers International has the broadest nearby procedure set, while Wiley Post and University of Oklahoma Westheimer are also comparatively well covered. David Jay Perry and Sundance have much thinner collections. The Dallas–Ft Worth Sectional adds the wider visual-navigation context not conveyed by Tinker’s airport diagram and instrument procedures.
