Washington Manassas/Harry P Davis Field has instrument approach coverage to all four ends of its two parallel runways. The five approach charts encompass an ILS, a localiser procedure and four RNAV (GPS) procedures, combining precision and satellite-based coverage without leaving either runway direction unserved. Runway length differs substantially: 16L/34R provides 2,485 ft more than 16R/34L, making correct runway identification important when assessing available distance.
The 29-chart set is broader than those for Warrenton/Fauquier, Davison AAF, Quantico MCAF and Washington Executive/Stafford, which each have 14–17 charts. Washington Dulles is the clear exception nearby, with 59. For visual planning, the Washington Sectional supplies wider-area coverage, while the Baltimore-Washington Terminal Area Chart adds a more focused depiction of the terminal region.
