New Castle’s seven approach plates serve four of its six runway ends, so instrument procedure coverage does not extend to every available alignment. The mix is weighted towards RNAV (GPS), with four such approaches, while ILS, localiser and VOR procedures provide ground-based options. Two runways exceed 7,000 ft, while 14/32 is materially shorter at 4,602 ft, creating a clear distinction between the available runway lengths.
Philadelphia International’s 38-chart set is much broader than New Castle’s 15-chart collection. Brandywine Regional, Summit, New Garden and Claremont have much thinner coverage, with two to six charts each. The New York and Washington Sectionals add broad-area VFR context, while the Philadelphia Terminal Area Chart supplies a more detailed terminal-scale view beyond the airport-specific instrument procedures.
