Summit’s three approaches are all RNAV (GPS) procedures and serve only two of the airport’s four runway ends. Instrument coverage is therefore concentrated on selected directions rather than extending across both runways. The 4,488 ft asphalt runway provides the longer paved option, while the 3,601 ft turf runway adds a second alignment for aircraft able to use that surface and length. No airport diagram is published.
New Castle has by far the broadest nearby procedure set, while Delaware Airpark is closer to Summit’s level of coverage. Claremont, New Garden and Phillips AAF have markedly thinner sets. The New York and Washington sectionals provide wider regional VFR context, supplemented by the more detailed Baltimore-Washington and Philadelphia terminal area charts.
