Instrument coverage

Minden-Tahoe’s instrument coverage is concentrated on two RNAV (GPS) approaches serving two of the airport’s six runway ends. The remaining ends have no published approach in this cycle, and there are no other approach types. One departure procedure and an airport diagram complete a compact set centred on GPS-based arrivals.

Runways and surrounding coverage

The runway layout ranges from a 7,399 ft asphalt runway to a 2,050 ft dirt strip, giving markedly different usable dimensions across the field. Carson City has the same number of published charts, while Lake Tahoe is similarly covered and Truckee-Tahoe has a somewhat broader set. Yerington Municipal’s coverage is much thinner; Reno/Tahoe International’s is substantially larger. The San Francisco Sectional adds the wider visual-planning context not provided by the terminal procedures.
