Approach coverage concentrated on two runway ends

Jackson Regional’s instrument coverage is concentrated on two of its four runway ends. The four approach plates combine ILS and localiser capability with RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures, providing several navigation bases without extending published approach coverage to every runway end. Runway 02/20 supplies 2,468 ft more length than 11/29, so the selected alignment materially changes the runway distance available.

Nearby and VFR chart coverage

M04’s four published charts are the closest nearby comparison in chart volume to Jackson Regional’s seven; each other listed field has only three. Their procedure coverage is therefore uniformly thinner, although M04’s is marginally broader than the rest. The Atlanta, Memphis and St Louis sectionals add broad-area VFR context, while the Memphis Terminal Area Chart provides a more focused terminal-area view beyond the airport-specific instrument procedures.
