Approach and runway coverage

Edward F Knapp State’s three approach plates serve only two of its four runway ends. The set combines ILS and localiser coverage with two RNAV (GPS) procedures, concentrating instrument access rather than distributing it across both runways. The two runway alignments are not equivalent in length: the 5,000 ft runway accommodates runway-length requirements that the 3,001 ft crossing runway cannot.

Nearby and VFR chart context

Morrisville-Stowe State has comparable procedure coverage, while Patrick Leahy Burlington International and Lebanon Municipal have broader chart sets. Dean Memorial and Caledonia County are covered more thinly. The Montreal and New York sectionals add the wider VFR context absent from MPV’s terminal procedures, particularly useful here because no airport diagram is published.
