Approach and runway picture

Mount Pleasant’s two RNAV (GPS) approaches serve two runway ends, giving balanced instrument coverage rather than concentrating every procedure on one direction. No other approach type is published. The 4,001 ft concrete runway provides substantially more usable length than the 1,967 ft turf runway, so aircraft requiring more than the shorter strip permits are confined to the longer alignment. There is no separate airport diagram.

Wider chart coverage

Among nearby fields, Southeast Iowa Regional has the broadest procedure set. Keokuk and Washington Municipal also have more extensive coverage, while Fort Madison Municipal and Fairfield Municipal match Mount Pleasant’s much thinner set. The Chicago Sectional adds the wider visual, landmark and airspace context absent from the airport’s instrument procedures.
