Approach coverage at Payson

Payson’s instrument coverage is concentrated on a single end of runway 06/24. Both published approaches are RNAV (GPS) procedures, leaving the opposite end without a published instrument approach. The 5,504 ft runway provides the field’s only runway alignment; the separate 50 ft concrete H1 is a helipad rather than another runway direction. With no airport diagram, the published set is confined to approach and minimums material.
