Concentrated approach coverage

Eight approaches serve only three runway ends, concentrating instrument access on selected alignments rather than spreading it across the field’s eight ends. The mix includes ILS and localiser procedures alongside RNAV (GPS) and VOR options. Three parallel 15/33 runways, plus the separate 18/36 alignment, make the airport diagram and published hotspot chart especially relevant for identifying the correct runway. Their lengths vary markedly: the 13,100-foot runway provides more than twice the distance of the 6,000-foot parallel.

Surrounding chart coverage

Lawton-Fort Sill Regional has the broadest nearby procedure set, though still thinner than Sheppard AFB/Wichita Falls Municipal. Wichita Valley, Kickapoo Downtown, Frederick Regional and Halliburton Field each have only two or three charts. The Dallas-Ft Worth Sectional adds wider visual context beyond the airport-specific terminal procedures.
