Tucson Intl’s approach set serves all four runway ends rather than concentrating instrument access on a single alignment. RNAV (GPS) procedures form the majority, supplemented by ILS, localiser and VOR options. The 10,996 ft runway provides substantially more distance than the 7,000 ft crossing runway, while the second alignment gives the procedure set scope to cover two distinct runway orientations.
Davis Monthan AFB has the closest comparable procedure library, with 14 charts against Tucson’s 19. Sierra Vista has nine, while Ryan Field, Marana Regional and Nogales Intl have markedly thinner sets of six or seven.
