Cumberland pairs a 4,043 ft asphalt runway with a 1,996 ft turf runway, while its two RNAV (GPS) approaches serve only two of the four runway ends. Instrument procedure coverage therefore does not extend to every available alignment. Using the shorter runway reduces the available length by more than 2,000 ft and also changes the operating surface.
Burnett County and Rice Lake Regional/Carl’s Field have broader procedure sets, while Chetek Municipal/Southworth has coverage comparable to Cumberland. Shell Lake Municipal and Amery Municipal have thinner sets. The Green Bay Sectional supplies the wider visual and aeronautical context around Cumberland that is not contained in the airport-specific instrument procedures.
