Procedure coverage

Waukesha County’s four approach charts cover only two of its four runway ends. The mix includes ILS and localiser procedures alongside two RNAV (GPS) options and a VOR approach, giving the served ends both ground-based and satellite-based coverage. Two departure procedures complement the approach set.

Runways and nearby coverage

Runway 10/28 is 2,250 ft longer than 18/36, making runway length a substantially greater constraint on the shorter alignment. Nearby, Lawrence J Timmerman has almost the same breadth of chart coverage, while General Mitchell International has more than twice as many published charts. East Troy, Hartford and Burlington have noticeably thinner sets. The Chicago Sectional adds the wider visual context around Waukesha that the airport-specific instrument procedures do not provide.
