Westerly State’s two approaches serve only one of its four runway ends. The RNAV (GPS) and localiser procedures therefore provide two forms of instrument guidance to the same end rather than coverage across both runway alignments. The two runways are almost identical in length, so selecting between them offers no material gain in available landing or take-off distance.
Groton-New London has the broadest procedure set among the nearby fields, followed by Quonset State. Block Island State and Montauk have chart coverage comparable in size to Westerly’s, while Elizabeth Field’s is markedly thinner. The New York Sectional supplies broader VFR navigation context, with the Boston Terminal Area Chart adding more detailed terminal-area coverage.
