Queensland Airport Pack 2 refreshes 10 Australian airfields across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, tropical Cairns and remote outback strips, adding upgraded or newly built layouts guided by mapping and Airservices references for a convincing regional flying circuit. Built for FSX, it includes YBAF Archerfield, YBCS Cairns, YBUD Bundaberg, YCAB Caboolture and more.

Queensland Airport Pack 2, Australia. Upgraded or new airports for FSX. By Kym Burton.

These airports are upgraded or new airports for FSX, they have been designed with reference to Google Earth and Australian Airservices website, so are pretty close to realistic. [Don't hold me to that though].

Just drop all .bgl files into your /addon scenery/scenery folder in FSX.

Included in this pack:

  • YBAF Archerfield (Brisbanes main GA airport).
  • YBCK Blackall (Rural community central QLD).
  • YBCS Cairns (Tropical city N QLD).
  • YBEO Betoota (Ghost town out Birdsville way, apparently race & gymkhana meeting held each year).
  • YBLL Bollon (Small rural community Western Downs of QLD).
  • YBOA Boonah (Small community SE QLD).
  • YBOI Boigu (Northern most island of Torres Strait islands only 6km from PNG mainland).
  • YBPI Brampton Island (Situated in the beautiful Whitsunday Islands).
  • YBUD Bundaberg (Home of that polar bear, something to do with rum).
  • YCAB Caboolture (Situated on the lovely Sunshine Coast).

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
