AFX File For KLAS

KLAS Las Vegas McCarran International Airport receives a refined AFCAD AFX layout for FSX, aligning gates and ramp parking with real-world airline, cargo, and Janet Airways stand assignments. Parking radii follow established ProjectAI standards to support accurate AI sizing, including updated positions for the D gates northeast wing and Allegiant MD-80 ramp areas.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

This AFCAD was developed utilizing Airport Design Editor (ADE) version 1.05 by Scruffyduck Software. For reference, I have used the Las Vegas McCarran International web page, Google Earth, Flight Aware, and personal observation.

I have added parking for the new Northeast wing of the "D" gates. However, this wing of the terminal is not represented in FSX. If a talented scenery designer would take this upgrade project on, I will update this AFCAD accordingly.

Parking slots are as in real life with all airlines and cargo carriers represented. Parking for Janet Airways (US Government) is properly placed per Google Earth. Ramp Parking for Alegiant Air MD-80s is located properly between the "D" Gates and the Air Cargo Center.

Parking radii have been set according to the Standard developed by ProjectAI for FS9. It should be noted that many recent FSX AFCADs have been released with parking radii that are much smaller than those used in FS9. If you have transferred your AI over to FSX as I have, there is no way to change the radii. This may not be the case with any of the commercial AI traffic programs, however, as I do not own any of them and have not tested this FSX AFCAD with them. It does, however, work with the AI transferred from FS9.

I have included the Recommended AFCAD Aircraft Radius (in meters) from Aircraft Parking Codes Manager, final release, V 1.6 by Armando DiFrancesco for reference.

FSX / P3D add-on

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place files per the readme

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
