Slidell Airport

Slidell Airport (KASD) scenery update brings the Louisiana field closer to current real-world layout by clearing two oversized ramp buildings and extending the runway by about 1,000 feet to reflect the 2007 expansion. Tuned for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it improves ramp usability and supports more capable jet operations.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

Quick fix for Slidell, LA Airport (KASD). Removes two large buildings from the aircraft ramp that don't exist in the real world, and lengthens the runway an extra 1000 feet to match its current dimensions after a runway extension in 2007. It can now handle jet traffic. By Nicholas Morris.

Installation:

Simply place the .BGL into your Flight Simulator X/Addon Scenery/Scenery folder.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
