FS2004 MD-83 AI Replacement Pack

MD-83 AI traffic gets a realistic airline refresh in FS2004, replacing the default Soar, Pacifica, and Airwave liveries with AirTran, American, and Delta. Updated aircraft.cfg entries enable accurate ATC callsigns and matching traffic behavior, keeping ramp scenes and approach patterns closer to real-world operations.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004

Replacement for the default McDonnell Douglas MD83's Soar, Pacifica and Airwave with Airtran, American and Delta Airlines. They will replace the default MD-83 AI aircraft textures and change the aircraft.cfg so Flightsim will be able to call them with proper callsigns. By Tony Potter.

Installation:

  1. Backup your aircraft.cfg in your MD-83 folder.
  2. Backup your MD_83_T.bmp in each texture folders.
  3. Unzip the aircraft.zip file to a your FS2004 root folder.
  4. Answer yes when prompted to over write.
  5. To hear ATC call you the proper callsigns you need update the default airline.cfg. You can use A Century of Flight Airline Callsigns ( airline_list_2004.zip ) David Dossiere, or open airline.cfg in your fs2004/aicraft/ directory with notepad and add American, Citrus, and Delta to the list.
  6. Start Flightsim and go fly!

How to install this mod

FS2004 add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per readme

    FS2004 add-ons go into FS9\Aircraft\, FS9\Addon Scenery\, FS9\Gauges\, or FS9\Effects\.
  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
