Pilgrimage To Santiago de Compostella sets up a series of connected Piper J-3 Cub flights from multiple European departure points to northwestern Spain, built around a clear schedule and pilot map. Designed for default scenery in Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it emphasizes hands-on navigation with compass-only flying and a simple virtual cockpit.

For many centuries lots of visitors came to Santiago de Compostella in the northwestern part of Spain. Some undertook the long journey as a true pilgrim, for religious reasons, others to see as many European countries as possible or just for the adventure. This file contains flight plans from various European countries to this one destination. If you simply start the first flight and study the schedule below and map of Europe, you will eventually understand the system of the flight plans. The flights are designed with default FSX scenery and the default Piper J-3 Cub. By Nis Verkijk.

Installation:

Unzip the Lo folder in a temporary folder and copy the individual files into the folder "My Documents / Flight Simulator X Files".

Airplane:

For a humble and modest pilgrim the modest and humble Piper J-3 Cub is the appropriate plane; no navigation equipment except your compass, no autopilot, and only a basic panel.

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
