FSX MB339PAN Updated Files

Aermacchi MB-339 PAN flight dynamics and autopilot behavior get a practical refresh in FSX with updated aircraft.cfg, .air file, and panel.cfg tuned to improve handling and more reliable autopilot capture for instrument flying. Requires MB339PAN V.2011 FSX base package, with changes authored to better match the model’s intended performance.

Updated Files for use with MB339PAN__V_2011_FSX.ZIP. The files enclosed in this archive (aircraft.cfg, MB339_Pan.air and panel.cfg) solves some problems with the model flight behavior and with autopilot not working in the right way in the original model. Modifications by Giovanni Quai for Massimo Taccoli model.

It has not been possible to solve the problem of regulation of altimeter with tens and hundreds of the Autopilot, but even with this limitation it's possible to perform flights and instrumental landings.

Tip: Do not engage Autopilot APPROACH HOLD (ILS function) too far away from the landing ( 15 nm or more ) or the autopilot may capture and follow a wrong glide slope.

The updates comes from Giovanni Quai who kindly provided to flightsimmers his updated files to correct Aermacchi MB339 Pan V.2011 model for FSX.

To install the updates behave this way:

If you have already installed the MB339PAN_V.2011 model in FSX , file MB339PAN _V.2011_FSX.zip, simply exchange the here enclosed files with those you have in the installed model folder. Make a backup copy of the original files just in case something goes wrong.
If you haven't yet installed the MB339PAN _V.2011_FSX.zip model , install it as recommended in the directions text and then exchange the original files with those updated.
