FSX New Garden Airport

New Garden Airport (N57) brings Toughkenamon in Chester County, Pennsylvania to life in FSX with a carefully placed airstrip layout, realistic ground details, and a populated ramp featuring varied static aircraft and small-airfield objects. It requires the KB Sims static aircraft library and Sidney Schwartz’s Small Airstrip Objects collection for full ambience.

This scenery was created using Airport Design Editor FSX Edition. Static aircraft are from a freeware collection by KB Sims. Also uses the freeware Small Airstrip Objects collection by Sidney Schwartz. Several static aircraft were converted using Static Aircraft .mdl Maker by Don Grovestine (Beriev BE-103, de Havilland Chipmunk, L-4 Grasshopper, and others).

Installation instructions:

  • Unzip this file to a temporary folder.
  • Copy the N57 folder to your FSX "Addon Scenery" folder and add this to your FSX scenery library.
  • Unzip kb_static_aircraft_FSX.zip. This file contains the static aircraft library from KB Sims. Copy this to your FSX "Addon Scenery" folder and add this to your FSX scenery library.
  • Unzip smlairob.zip. This file contains the Small Airstrip Objects collection by Sidney Schwartz. Refer to Small Airstrip Objects SS readme.txt for installation instructions.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
