FS2004 LAI Vickers Viscount 785

Linee Aeree Italiane’s Vickers Viscount 785 livery brings a classic 1957–1971 Italian turboprop to life in FS2004, capturing the airline’s early jet-age identity and the I-LIFE airframe’s storied service. Includes an authentic repaint for Rick Piper’s Viscount 700 model and requires the FSDS Viscount 700 base package.

A four-engine propeller airliner with Linee Aeree Italiane livery flies against an overcast gray sky, viewed from the left side.

Linee Aeree Italiane ordered six later increased to ten V. 785D's. Delivered in 1957 only the first six were delivered before a merger with Aerlinee Italiene Internazionali formed the present day Alitalia; the remaining four were delivered direct to Alitalia. A number of ex Capital V745's were purchased along with two ex Northeast V798's joining the very busy fleet. The type served until 1971 with the loss of only one machine. I-LIFE was the first and ended up with Somali Airlines as 60S-AAK. Model by Rick Piper. By Garry Russell.

Place the unzipped texture folder into the FSDS Viscount 700 folder and paste the above text into the aircraft config renumbering to the next available.
