Module Tool X v0.4 streamlines management of exe.xml and dll.xml by letting users edit, sort, and restore backups of module entries, helping keep startup components organized and stable in Microsoft Flight Simulator X. It uses a simple Windows interface and includes fixes for file-saving format issues and Explorer Bar behavior; requires .NET Framework 2.0.

FSX / P3D utility

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place files per the readme

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
