FSX WACO QCF-2 #2

WACO QCF-2 repaint depicting real-world NC11427 brings an authentic Golden Age look with period-correct markings, clean exterior textures, and a matching thumbnail for easy selection in the hangar. Built for FSX, it requires the Golden Age Simulations payware WACO “F” series package and includes the needed model folder update.

A repaint of the Golden Age Simulation's WACO QCF-2 patterned after the real aircraft NC11427. This repaint requires the payware WACO 'F' series from Golden Age Simulations. By John Barner.

Installation:

  • Unzip the QCFX02.zip file to a temporary folder.
  • Open your aircraft folder in FSX and find and open the folder "WACO QCF-2".
  • Make a Copy of the folder "texture" and then rename it "texture.N11427".
  • Copy the fourdds files and the thumbnail file that are in your temporary folder and paste them into the folder "texture.N11427" over writing any existing files.
  • Copy the folder model.1 into the folder "WACO QCF-2".
  • Open the WACO QCF-2 "Aircraft.cfg" file. Cut and paste the text below into the "aircraft.cfg" underneath the last [fltsim.*] entry (change the xx with the next number).

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
