Aircraft Configuration and Systems

To enhance realism, the cockpit integrates core flight instrumentation suited for a modern 737-400. In-cockpit elements include an advanced primary flight display [a digital screen that provides main flight data] and engine parameter gauges [readouts that relay turbine and temperature values]. The avionics suite, updated by David Grindele, further refines autopilot logic and navigation data to mirror real-world operation. System reaction times are calibrated, helping virtual pilots manage thrust, flaps, and other critical flight controls with precision.

Compatibility and Installation

This freeware add-on has been verified on multiple Windows operating systems, including Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8 in both 32-bit and 64-bit editions. The included automatic installer streamlines setup, ensuring minimal user intervention is needed during the integration process. For best results, confirm that your simulator platform has no conflicting configurations before installing. Also, it is always wise to create safe backups of essential simulator files prior to adding any new content.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
  3. Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
  4. Always read the included readme
