This repaint brings a meticulously crafted depiction of the Gloster Meteor F8 WH374 into Microsoft Flight Simulator X Acceleration. It showcases the commanding officer’s jet from No. 63 Squadron, which operated out of RAF Waterbeach. Originally created by Rob Richardson and enhanced here by Peter Watkins as a freeware offering, this add-on requires the base package from the Fly Away Simulation library.

The Gloster Meteor F8 emerged as a refined version of Britain’s first operational jet fighter, introducing an extended fuselage and improved tailplane. This particular variation offered increased agility and stability, allowing squadrons like No. 63 to achieve reliable performance throughout their service. Installation Procedure and Configuration

• Drop the texture.WH374 folder into the Gloster Meteor Mk 8 directory, located inside the SimObjects “Airplanes” folder of your FSX installation.
• Within the aircraft.cfg document, place the following entry and replace “xx” with the next valid sequence number:
