X-Plane 11 Old School Tents

Old-school camping tents bring authentic ground detail to custom scenery in X-Plane 11, with multiple colors plus camo and three build variations: front open, open at both ends, or fully closed. Each lightweight object uses included textures for easy placement in your scene, adding believable campsite variety around airfields and backcountry areas.

This file contains a few tents in various colours. In each case, there are three options included: front opened, opened both ends, and closed.

Old style camping tent.To install, download the file, unzip it, then place the object (.obj) you wish to use along with the included texture file (.png) in the objects folder of the scenery you are working on. Then use OE or WED to locate and place where you wish. For the camo variant, use the handyobjectstexture5 file (all other others use the handyobjectstexture2).

How to install this mod

X-Plane add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place per readme

    X-Plane add-ons go into Aircraft/ (planes), Custom Scenery/ (airports, mesh), or Resources/plugins/ (plugins).

  3. Restart X-Plane

    Close X-Plane completely and relaunch. The new content loads automatically.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
