Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

This mega package, previously updated for FSX by Michael E. Roberts, features a new enhanced and more realistic virtual cockpit and interior with new cabin views, smoke and corrected VC lights.

Black PC-12 in flight.Thanks to Brian Gladden for the original FS2002 model and to Michael E. Roberts for the previous FSX update. New VC and modified 2D panel as well as smoke and VC light correction by Michael Pook.

Installation

  1. Copy and paste the aircraft folder into your main airplanes directory.
  2. Copy and paste the effects in the effect folder into your main effects directory (no need to overwrite if already there), but leave the gauges in the panel folder.

That's it, enjoy your flight.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

It will take some time getting used to this aircraft. I enjoy and prefer the twin prop executive aircraft. It's hard to maintain vertical speed in the Pilatus PC-12 without the aid of AP in my opinion. I will keep at it, I'm using the basic Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Flight Controller. That could be why. I will try with the PC-21 and see if I have the same issue.

    This was the worse plane I ever flew. It is too hard to control once you are off the ground. I took off from the airport a few minutes later I had to make an emergency landing. It was a total miracle I was able to land that thing without crashing.

    After flying FS9's AFG Pilatus PC-12 for so long...and downloading this for FSX...I'm Very Disappointed with this aircraft. Big Difference between the 2 . The AFG beats out this one across the board in Cockpit and general appearance. They would have been much better to try and configure the FS9 AFG to fly in FSX. This aircraft does not have operating Cargo Doors, Only the one Main Entrance. The only way I could start the aircraft was Shft E. there was no icons to get into the other panels, I flew PC-12 in RW and where the 2009 AFG is as real as you get, This one is a relic...like planes of Yesteryear FS...... not up to FSX standards in any way. Sorry....but NO CIGAR.

    I would love to download this model, but I simply cannot handle the fake, plastic look of this virtual cockpit, if you made it more 3D, and less plastic looking, I might even consider giving a good rating.

    So far the plane is great. Just can't figure out how to set altitude and IAS. Do you only control the altitude by adjusting the vertical speed until you reach the alt you want?

    Dear Sirs, I tried to install the Pilatus PC-12... but no textures are visible at the aircraft. They are only white. The texture files are .bmp files while for other planes they are .dds files. How can i convert the texture files to th right format for FSX Steam edition. Thanks a lot in advance for a reply
