FSX Afterburners For Boeing 747-400

Boeing 747-400 afterburner effects add a playful jet-style punch to the classic jumbo, with bright exhaust flames and smoke tuned for convincing throttle changes in the virtual cockpit and external views. Built for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it replaces the aircraft’s effect entries and uses custom effect files for a dramatic, just-for-fun spectacle.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
